This bed works perfectly for me. Minimalist design and solid wood at a bargain price. I'm using it with a box spring and couldn't be happier with this purchase. Had a problem when putting it together. One of the head/footboards was not bored correctly;[...] the manufacturing company sent the replacement in a few days. I would make the purchase again, even with the short delay.

I purchased this for an adult relative and it seems to be very well constructed as a primary bed. The instructions that came with the bed were somewhat unclear - so be careful when assembling. It looks just like the online illustration ! The rebate coupon [...] rock !

Bought this as our primary bed -- had to get the mattress off the floor. Cheap but attractive. Had to drill own holes where they should have been pre-drilled, but no big deal, seems pretty sturdy.

I bought this for my teenage daughter who wanted a very low profile bed for an Asian decor room... This bed was a great buy. It is very well designed and easy to assembled. It came well packed so the wood had no scraches. The mattress support is built from planks of wood attached by two nylon rubans. This platform has 8 legs alltogether which again provide plenty of support; Better than what I have on my high-end sleigh bed. Bravo!

Not overly difficult to assemble, but a little bit awkward and it definitely took two people.
The color of the wood in this web site's picture doesn't show the slight reddish tint to the wood. It's not ugly by any means, but be careful if you're trying to match it to furniture you already have.
Overall, this bed is a solid, simple, and attractive choice. We're very pleased with it.

Fairly easy to assemble: Nice lines, with four center supports - though slats COULD extend further in the head and foot areas, to more completely support high-density foam mattresses.

Finished appearance was very good, but the unit I received had prepacking damage to the foot-board inside/upper edge.. and the coloration of one side board was slightly inconsistent with that of all other pieces.

Overall, a great value for the price: My daughter (16-going-on-26) is ecstatic with her new bedroom - of which, this is a major part!

We are very happy with this bed. It was easy to assemble and looks very 'low profile'/minimalist in our bedroom. We ordered a king size and any other frame may have overwhelmed our room. We put our 8" futon on top and it fits perfectly. The whole family, from our 1 year old to our 10 year old dog, enjoy spending time on our bed now!

We use this bed as part of a master bedroom. The frame is very easy to assemble and it does not squeak. Which is a big plus for us.

We bought this for a select comfort style mattress. It works well. The slats are spaced maybe 3 inches apart, so you may need to put plywood down depending on how thick your bed is and whether you use box springs. The height of the frame supports (ie the height your mattress rests at) is similar to typical inexpensive metal frames you would get from a bed store, although the clearance underneath is only 5.5 inches. The finish is nice, it looks good with our cherry finish dressers. The finish is somewhat easy to damage, I guess it's a soft wood.

We use this in our master bedroom and it is perfect. You can tuck your linens and comforter in
which gives a very clean and stylish look. My huband is over 200 lbs and this bed is very sturdy and well made. The reason I ordered it was that we have 2 small dogs with bad knees and since they won't stay off the bed it is much easier for them when they jump off since the bed is so close to the floor. However, I love it so much I want to get one for our other two bedrooms!

I live in a house that was built in 1911. My bedroom is on the second floor. For the past five years I have slept on two mattresses on top of one another because you cant fit a box springs up the stairs. I finally decided to buy a platform bed because the mattresses have been so uncomfortable. I went to so many stores and none of them had platform beds without head boards. So finally I broke down and went on line. This bed is perfect. It is solid and beautiful in person. Very easy to put together. I had no problems. I love my new bed.

Bed is very attractive and appears to be durable and of good quality. Assembly was relatively easy. Price is outstanding. My only complaint is that the legs are VERY short. The 11" is to the top of the frame, not the top of the slats (as I'd imagined from the specs) - the slats are only 8" from the ground, so if you're looking for a platform bed because you don't want to use a box spring, you'll be disappointed. And although the frame is not wide, there is a substantial gap between the mattress and the frame so that the legs stick out beyond the bed - making it all too easy to bruise yourself as you walk by. This will require getting used to! But the bed is very attractive and seems to be well constructed.

The bed is solid, attractive and easy to assemble. My only complaint is that one of the bare wood support legs is visible. It would not be as noticeable if it were painted black like the rest of the bed.

I am really enjoying my Murray Platform Bed. I have a small bedroom and this bed was the perfect size. It has a nice low profile without feeling like you are sleeping on the floor. This was not the easiest piece of furniture I have ever put together however it was also not the most difficult. This bed looks great, looks like it is well made but once you put someone over 150 pounds on it, the support slats start breaking like sticks. I had to put plywood on the bottom to remedy. Other than that, no problems.

hello,I purchased the murray platform bed in black.[...],easy to put together. we felt for the $ it was a good buy. We also were surprized to see how stout the bed was.We all sat on it and it seemed really strong! No weird noises! I RECOMMEND for a guest room or teenagers room,even young couples starting out! I wanted something simple with clean lines. Most of my bedroom furnishings are a flat black, with a few red accent pieces. This bed isn't ridiculously low to the ground like some platforms, and my thick mattress helps in that regard as well. Overall, I have something classy, stylish, clean, and timeless...all in one.

As far as the squeaking I complained about, this was something I noticed initially upon dropping myself on my bed at night. It's been about a month since I purchased, and I haven't heard this in weeks.

From what was in furniture stores, even warehouse stores, this was the best deal and pretty much same quality. Shipped fast and a lot less than what a lot of stores were selling their similar beds for... and better made than a few high end stores I had looked at.

The bed is used by my husband and I. We love black, so this bed was the right color, and also the bed is the right heighth for us. The only thing that I find wrong with it, is that there is a opening at the head and foot of the bed. What I mean is a gap between the frame and the wood that supports the mattress.
